Day three on the ‘Valley Isle”. ¬†Truly one of my favorite places in the entire world.
I’ve been a lot of places. ¬†A lot of places. ¬†But Maui is truly one of the most beautiful and special places in the world. ¬†I feel at home here.
Why?  Well I was thinking about that today Рwhile we are in the middle of a huge wind storm.  I love it even when we are in the middle of a huge windstorm.  It is so many things that I love; green, quiet, blue, fierce, red, exciting, yellow, warm.
When I am here I don’t worry about things we seem to obsess over back home. ¬†My hair? ¬†I don’t care – let the wind blow – it is what it is.
Fashion – forgetaboutit. ¬†I wear what is cool and comfortable and doesn’t stick to me in the humid afternoons. ¬†Does it match and look runway ready. ¬†Not even close. ¬†Do I care. ¬†No.
Makeup? ¬†Haven’t worn it in days. ¬†Might throw a little mascara¬†on tomorrow night when we go to a nice restaurant for dinner, but even that is not necessary. ¬†No one cares. ¬†Especially me.
I haven’t thought about stressful things at “home” (even though I don’t really have a home – there is still stuff going on there). ¬†I haven’t worried too much about anything actually. ¬†Living healthy and feeling good comes pretty naturally here. ¬†I’ve lost 6 lbs. ¬†Hardly trying. ¬†Like magic.
It is magical.  Magical Maui.  My Maui.
