Message From Cyprus Edition Seven

Weather has been good, but I just can’t shake this melancholy feeling. I guess it’s just going to be part of the process that I will need to address every day, including in this message from Cyprus.

In an effort to stay creative and productive, I thought I would do something fun this week and give you our message from Cyprus on video! One good thing is it forces me to make myself presentable (shower? what’s a shower?) and it forces me to speak in full sentences, different than the grunts and grumbles used to correspond with my spouse.

So before you click on the link below to my weekly update – and we have some good news to share – let me just give you a quick rundown on the numbers;

Today is day 50 in Cyprus and day 46 in Quarantine/Lockdown

Current cases in Cyprus 819 with 14 deaths. Numbers are leveling out.

WE HAVE SOME EXCITING NEWS TO SHARE! Check out our video here.

See ya all soon – back in the good ole USA.

We love it when you share our blog! xxoo

    This is incredible news! Congratulations on finally being able to return home to the Northwest. What a relief for you and family! (That’s so great you are surprising your mom.) Safe travels and we will follow your posts along the way, as you venture home. For all of us who love to travel, it feels so weird putting all the trip planning on hold —right now. Will be very interesting to see what the future brings, in that regard. Thanks for sharing your great news! Laura

    Very good news for you to finally end the quarantine on Cyprus and return to the beautiful Northwest. Please stay healthy on your return journey as well as then being back in the US. The numbers of infections and deaths there look so awful. Stay safe!

    Wonderful news, even though I shudder at the thought of ANY flight that is not non-stopno mattter how long it is. Wer’re all forced to take what we can get right now. It will be nice to see you back here again, and I expect you’ll be happy to be home after the grueling life-style you’ve had to endure. I wonder how you’ll navigate the stay-at-home recommendations and social distancing that have been so succesful here. I can’t imagine what it would be like to return after months and not visit and celebrate with friends and family…You’ll be forgiven for bending some of those recommendations! Sorry you couldn’t continue your adventure as planned, but I’m pretty sure you’ll just create a new one back here!

    Woohoo! Loved your video and all those incredible boy toys that surrounded you to meet all your desires!! I’m happy for you and a bit sad. I know that you really want to come home during this travel restricted time, but I feel sad that you weren’t able to explore and enjoy the amazing island of Cyprus the way you planned. As our lovely adventure in Tunisia and to Morocco and Spain was also rudely cut short, I feel your sorrow. You were lucky to be in such a lovely place and this will be an adventure to remember! Welcome home to you!

      It’s taken me awhile to accept it all, but I feel now it’s the right thing. Thanks you Carol. Be safe.
